welcomed by the blue water, warm sand, and the friendly people of west Michigan. Often our family would come for a week end or family vacations winter and summer. Every time we packed up our kids and left the lake to return to the suburbs we longed to come back again. In 2003, when our oldest child was in 5th grade we deisned a home and decided to move here. We built a home four miles from Lake Michigan on property covered with ferns, pines, and oak trees. We ran away ... or better yet we ran to our cherished place. We were delighted that we no longer had to drive four hours home from the lake, it was a mere four miles.
